Many things may touch the IT network that we manage for you, from tills, to credit card machines and potentially a managed print offering from a third party provider.
Keeping your systems running well, in a secure manner and optimising uptime requires a lot of planning and maintenance, the vast majority of which takes place behind the scenes without you even being aware.
Recently we have had a number of requests to the helpdesk where either third party providers have arrived and need our assistance or where we are given a few working hours' notice that they are coming. Please can you make sure before booking a third party in that you liaise with your account manager here to make sure that we can allocate appropriate resources to you to provide you with a seamless installation process but also to allow us to plan - it may be for example that you need hardware, software or simply configuration planning to take place before your install can happen.
